Along the way, you’ll explore the rhino haven of Ol Pejeta Conservancy, marvel at the flamingo-lined shores of Lake Nakuru, and experience the rugged beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro as it towers over the elephant herds of Amboseli National Park.

  • Catch a morning flight from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve, an arid wilderness teeming with unique wildlife. After checking into your lodge or camp, embark on an afternoon game drive to spot Samburu's "**Special Five**": reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx.

  • Spend the day exploring Samburu's dramatic landscapes, from palm-lined rivers to rocky hills. Morning and afternoon game drives reveal lions, leopards, elephants, and a wealth of bird species. Relax at your lodge during the midday heat and soak in views of nature in this remote haven.

  • Drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a leading wildlife conservancy and sanctuary for critically endangered species. After lunch, visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary and enjoy an afternoon game drive to spot rhinos, lions, and other wildlife against Mount Kenya's backdrop.

  • Spend the day exploring Ol Pejeta, home to East Africa's largest black rhino population. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, visit the Endangered Species Enclosure to see the world's last northern white rhinos. Consider optional activities (not included) such as a night game drive after dark to spot nocturnal animals.

  • Depart Ol Pejeta for Lake Nakuru National Park, famed for its soda lake and vibrant birdlife. After lunch, embark on a game drive to see flocks of flamingos, Rothschild’s giraffes, rhinos, and leopards. The park’s scenic landscapes include acacia woodlands and rocky cliffs.

  • Travel to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations. Over three days, explore the Mara’s sweeping savannahs on morning and afternoon game drives. Witness the Big Five, predator-prey interactions, and, depending on the season, the Great Migration. Consider optional activities such as a cultural visit to a Maasai village or a hot air balloon ride at dawn (not included).

  • After breakfast, fly back to Nairobi and catch a connecting flight to Arusha, Tanzania’s safari gateway. Settle into your hotel in Arusha where we will overnight, and prepare for the next phase of your adventure, starting the following day.

  • Drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its towering baobab trees, large elephant herds, and the seasonal Tarangire River that attracts abundant wildlife. Spend two days exploring its diverse habitats, including riverine forests, swamps, and open grasslands. Morning and afternoon game drives reveal lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hundreds of bird species.

  • Travel to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact gem with vibrant ecosystems ranging from groundwater forests to soda lakes. Keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions that this park is known for.

    After a morning game drive, head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll spend the night. On Day 13, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. Enjoy a full day of game viewing in this natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife. Spot rare black-maned lions, while soaking in the scenery.

  • Head to Lake Ndutu, located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem, for your final Tanzanian safari experience. This is a seasonal hotspot for the Great Migration, particularly during calving season (December - March). Spend the afternoon exploring its woodlands and open plains, where you may spot wildebeest, zebras, cheetahs, and hyenas. The lake’s unique landscape offers excellent birdwatching opportunities. Enjoy more intimate wildlife encounters away from the larger crowds.

  • Enjoy a final morning game drive in Lake Ndutu before transferring to Arusha. From there, catch a flight back to Nairobi. Spend the evening relaxing at your lodge or camp and enjoy a farewell dinner exchanging stories of your adventures.

  • Spend your last day at leisure in Nairobi. Depending on your departure time, visit local markets for souvenirs or relax at your hotel. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home. Depart with memories to last a lifetime!
